ORRCON LAUNCHES A V8 TIPPING COMPETITION

Orrcon’s high octane, high speed, tipping competition is set to change the way people refer to sports tipping in the steel industry.
 
The competition designed to further enhance the opportunities as an Orrcon staff member or customer along with offering an alternative to the traditional AFL, Rugby League and Super 12 competitions.
 
In 2008, Orrcon staff and customers will have the opportunity to win some great prizes, along with the obligatory bragging rights, by entering Orrcon’s V8 Tipping competition.

 
Here’s how it works:

After selecting the tipping competition button you will be directed to another screen where you register your details. On this page you will be asked to name your team (Team Name) and enter an Owner name (Your First name and Surname) along with some other registration details.

Prior to each of the 14 rounds in the championship you choose a five-driver team from among find groupings of eligible drivers.

Available drivers are broken into five groups -- A, B, C, D and E.

To choose or edit your team, click the “make trade” link on your Team page for the appropriate driver grouping (A, B, C , D or E List). You must choose a five-person squad that includes one member from each list.

The deadline to make team changes each race is 5:00pm EST on the Friday night of the race weekend (Thursday for the round in Bahrain) If you don't make any changes by this deadline, your team will remain as per your previous rounds selection.

As is the case in the V8 Supercar championship, the top 30 finishers receive points, with the winning driver of the round getting the maximum 100, and other drivers receiving fewer points for every spot they finish behind the leader. (See table below)
 

These points are based on the finishing position of the car number at each round, <b>not the driver</b>, this will generally only come into play for the two endurance races (Phillip Island and Bathurst) where two driver compete together.

The person who has recorded the highest number of points at the end of the 14-rounds will be declared the winner.

SERIES PRIZES
Your choice of hot lap in the Orrcon FPR Falcon or a day at V8 Superschool (both will occur in December)
2nd – Merchandise to value of $250+gst
3rd – Merchandise to value of $150+gst
Last – Merchandise to value of $50+gst

In the event of a tie at the end of the season, the fantasy team who had the most event wins with their selected drivers will be crowned Orrcon V8 Supercar Tipping Champion for 2008.

*There will be a maximum of 1,000 entries in the competition based on a first come, first served basis.

To be eligible to win the prize participants in this competition must be a customer or staff member of Orrcon or the Hills Group of Companies. Only one registration is permitted per person. If you cease employment with Orrcon or cease being a customer you will be deemed ineligible. Members of staff and customers families are ineligible to participate. Orrcon reserves the rights to cancel the registration of any ineligible entrants.
